This is me chortling at the Tahoe urgent care. I'm getting an IV for tonsilitis. As you can tell it was sort of a hoot, and it didn't take away (I think it was a highlight, actually) from how much I loved teaching and connecting with a whole new crew of incredible individuals at Wanderlust. People were so open to trying new movement and deeply connecting to their bodies. It was very moving. And I'm still digesting the inspiration from the teachers I met at a forum I facilitated on building a trauma-safe classroom. There was so much knowledge and innovation swirling around that room. Thank you, Caitlin Kolb, for lending me your hands and huge brain for the weekend. You're a gift.
When tonsillitis hit I turned to Louise Hay to see what mantra she recommends when it ails you: "My good now flows freely. Divine ideas express through me. I am at peace. I used it, and it really reminded me that as I taught and facilitated in front of so many people, I could still trust in me.
